Whilst we are primarily busy rolling large campaigns like Make Your Mark for the GWS GIANTS and other large digital projects we have still found the time do the thing I love most. Creating and developing brands!

I have been working in London for the past 2 months and being away from the office has allowed me to focus directly on some great branding projects which I can’t wait to grow further and expand upon with our clients.

In collaboration with the … Continue reading

Coordinate was excited to work with the Real Estate Institute of Australia in developing an identity and communications material for the 2011 National Awards for Excellence. The National Awards is a celebration honouring Australia’s most outstanding performers in the real estate profession, and was held at the Marriott Resort & Spa in Surfers Paradise in March.

It was great to see the brand come to life and consistently applied across a suite of marketing collateral, and we are already looking at … Continue reading

There is nothing better when you receive a finished product and the end result turns out amazing. After working on a brochure, rate card and matching envelope for NewActon’s boutique Kendall Lane Theatre, we were delighted to see the result of the Pantone 877 (Silver), Spicers Black Optix paper stock and the Heidelberg press.

The silver ink on the black stock gave the brochure a quality, sophisticated finish and was consistent with our ideation for the brand. We are even more … Continue reading

Why use an Agency for Media Buying?

I often meet and talk with managers of businesses of all shapes and sizes, and they are quick to tell me that they manage their own media buying and marketing and don’t require the services of an agency. The longer the conversation goes the more they reveal that promotion and advertising is something that they really don’t understand or want to deal with.

I commonly hear about media reps selling particular programs and products to clients which don’t always meet the … Continue reading

For the last two years, we’ve been carefully planning our move into the NewActon precinct. This has involved careful thought and consideration and input from a number of people including architects, interior designers, builders, the staff, clients and of course, our great friends Johnathan and Nectar Efkarpidis.

The space is located on the ground floor of 3/19 Marcus Clarke Street NewActon Canberra City. At first, the space was just a raw shell, but as the layers started to form and evolve, … Continue reading

We’ve had hundreds of entries showcasing what the Canberra public think the symbol on the GWS GIANTS 2012 ACT home Guernsey should be. With the eight finalists due to be announced in the coming days, and the public voting system commencing through the Canberra Times, it will be facinating to see what … Continue reading

Let’s not get confused by Social Media. Right now, social media is the biggest buzz in the communications and digital industries.
Social Media is a very powerful communication tool, but like any form of communication, it has to contain real purpose, authenticity, and be implemented strategically.
Social Media is all about content, and using quality, unique and engaging content. Getting strategic is about planning each aspect of the content from understanding the target audiences, the narrative, topics and themes, to the tone … Continue reading

The Power of Passion

To put it simply, I love the word passion. I love what it stands for, I love the power and emotion of it. I love nothing more than to meet people who demonstrate passion.

It may sound lame, but really the difference between those who achieve what they desire in life, and those who don’t, is people who contain passion. Passion for your life, passion for your goals, passion for the people around you, and passion for what you stand for … Continue reading

Yesterday we visited a local printery who are working on a brochure, rate card and matching envelope for NewActon’s boutique Kendall Lane Theatre. We took a quick snap shot of the process unfolding on their one colour Heidelberg press and it was amazing to see, first hand, the manual precision and technique used in such a unique print job.

We knew that the silver ink would work well on the black stock and it came out even better than expected. The … Continue reading
