
The owners of the national convenience retailer City Convenience Stores, approached Coordinate to develop a new retail concept store to roll out in high traffic locations in Sydney's CBD.
The Coordinate team was required to develop the retail strategy, store offering and value proposition, name generation, brand identity and promotional materials. The team developed the name Checkout, a simple, unique name with various retail meanings. The name 'Checkout' was chosen as a call to action prompting consumers to "checkout" the store. The name also played the convenience angle of being able to "check in and checkout". Finally, the brand identity was tested and applied to a number of items included shopping bags, coffee cups and collateral.
