Introducing the Virtual Concierge

In a world where the print category and traditional media is in sharp decline, Coordinate will launch a new interactive ‘virtual’ print product, aiming to provide the tourists of Canberra with a guide to the city.

The product, titled Concierge will appear in over 4,500 hotel rooms in September 2014 and reach in excess of 1,000,000 tourists annually.

The high quality interactive publication will feature leading Canberra brands, hospitality providers, boutique retailers and tourism destinations through a unique mix of advertising and content.

Concierge utilizes Augmented reality (AR) – a cutting-edge technology that allows for a digitally enhanced view of the real world, connecting readers with more meaningful content. Augmented Reality works to allow the camera and sensors in a smartphone or tablet to add layers of digital information – videos, photos, sounds – directly on top of items in the world around us.

It allows advertising and content to evolve from a static placement to creating a unique and engaging user experience.

This exciting content, full of interesting and engaging content, articles, interviews and videos is set to be released in September 2014.
